SereniOxy
Development of customized oronasal masks using a mobile device for facial scanning
The SereniOxy project aims to develop CPAP/NIV oronasal masks tailored to each patient’s anatomy, ensuring enhanced comfort, effectiveness, and durability. The component in contact with the face will be produced using flexible materials through additive manufacturing, while the remaining structure will be mass-produced via injection molding. An intuitive application will enable patient facial scanning, as well as order management and real-time production tracking.
NM3D IBERICA plays a central role in the project, being responsible for product design and development, including material selection and mechanical characterization, advanced 3D modeling, and the development of customized solutions. The company also leads the integration of facial scanning technologies with additive manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
The project involves the participation of Ensoorigins, Lda, Plastar – Injection and Plastic Painting, Lda, the Coimbra Nursing School, and the Innovation Hub for Polymer Engineering, fostering a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach focused on healthcare innovation.
