EcoAir is an automatic compressed air shut-off module designed to interrupt the air supply to CMM air bearings during periods when the machine is not operating. This functionality, which can be integrated into new machines or retrofitted to existing equipment fitted with the LK NMC300 controller, achieves up to 95% reduction in compressed air consumption during idle periods. This approach not only represents direct savings in operating costs, but also minimizes the carbon footprint associated with continuous use of energy resources. Furthermore, the idle time required to activate the air shut-off is configurable and can be set from as little as one minute, giving the system high flexibility to adapt to the production environment. One of the major advantages of EcoAir lies in its ability to automatically reactivate the air supply as soon as the equipment is used again, whether in manual or CNC mode. This ensures that the machine is always ready to operate, without compromising response times or production cycles.
